Terms of Service - My AFS
Last updated: 10 October 2026, Version 1.0
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of My AFS, the employee portal at myafs.australfs.com.au (“Portal”), supplied by Austral Facility Services (“AFS”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
- Name: EMG Facility Services Pty Ltd, trading as Austral Facility Services
- ABN: 66 623 184 529

By creating an account or using the Portal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.
How we handle personal information in the Portal is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
2. How the Portal relates to your employment
2.1 The Portal is an information tool. It lets you see your upcoming shifts, your leave balances and your employee details, and read AFS policies.
2.2 Nothing in the Portal, or in these Terms, creates, varies or ends your employment or engagement with AFS, or changes your entitlements under your contract, any applicable award or enterprise agreement, or the law.
2.3 Information in the Portal comes from AFS's rostering and workforce systems. If it appears to differ from your roster, your pay records or what you have been told by your manager, those records prevail. Raise any difference with your manager or AFS HR.
2.4 The Portal does not replace the usual ways of applying for leave, swapping shifts or raising concerns at work. Keep using those unless AFS tells you otherwise.
3. Who can use the Portal
3.1 The Portal is for people who work for AFS. Anyone can create an account, but your work information is only shown once AFS has reviewed your registration and linked your account to your employee record.
3.2 AFS may decline a registration it cannot confirm, and may remove the link to your employee record, for example if it was linked in error or when you stop working for AFS.
4. Your account
4.1 Your account is personal to you. Keep your password confidential and do not let anyone else use your account, including other AFS staff.
4.2 Tell us promptly at afsconnect@australfs.com.au if you believe someone else has used your account.
4.3 Give accurate details when you register, so AFS can confirm who you are.
5. AFS policies in the Portal
5.1 The Portal lets you read AFS policies. They are AFS's confidential company documents, provided so you can understand and follow them in your work.
5.2 Do not copy, publish or share them outside AFS. The version in the Portal is provided for convenience; if you are unsure whether a policy is current, check with your manager.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- share your account or sign-in details, or use someone else's account;
- register as, or try to access the information of, another person;
- probe, scan or test the Portal for vulnerabilities, or interfere with or disrupt it;
- use automated tools to access or copy information from the Portal; or
- use the Portal for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual property
AFS (or its licensors) owns all intellectual property rights in the Portal, including its software, design, branding and the policies it contains. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
8. Availability
8.1 AFS aims to keep the Portal available and working, but does not promise that it will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or free of faults.
8.2 Access may be unavailable or degraded because of maintenance, updates, faults, network problems, problems with third-party services the Portal depends on, or events outside AFS's reasonable control. If you need your roster or leave information and the Portal is unavailable, ask your manager.
8.3 AFS may change, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Portal. Where a change materially affects how you use the Portal, AFS will give you reasonable notice unless the change is urgent, for example for security reasons.
9. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. If any part of these Terms would do so, that part does not apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
9.2 Clause 10 applies subject to this clause 9.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 Subject to clause 9, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, AFS is not liable to you for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss, or for loss of opportunity, or loss or corruption of data, arising from your use of the Portal.
10.2 Clause 10.1 does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by AFS's negligence, fraud, a breach of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
10.3 Nothing in this clause affects your rights or AFS's obligations as your employer, including your entitlement to be paid correctly. Those are a separate matter from your use of the Portal.
11. Suspension and ending access
11.1 AFS may suspend your access immediately if it reasonably believes you have breached these Terms, your account has been compromised, or suspension is needed to protect the Portal or its information.
11.2 AFS may remove the link between your account and your employee record when you stop working for AFS. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
11.3 Ending your access to the Portal does not affect your employment.
12. Changes to these Terms
AFS may change these Terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, AFS will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Portal after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Notices
AFS may give you notice through the Portal or by email to the address on your account. You may give AFS notice at afsconnect@australfs.com.au.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. You and AFS submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts able to hear appeals from them.
15. General
15.1 If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues to apply. A failure by AFS to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
15.2 These Terms and the Privacy Policy set out the whole agreement between you and AFS about the Portal. They do not form part of, vary, or affect your employment.
